Jun seo Hahm is an animation director and digital artist born in Korea. He started his artistic practice as a filmmaker working in experimental animation, and now has extended his work range from 2D and 3D animation to digital/media art, using computer graphics with a critical attitude. His current work is focused on digital expressions of biology inspired forms, often with a style of creatures and characters he developed while working as a designer and director in advertisement industry. He is interested in revealing a condition of life in a media system by arranging the life forms temporally and spatially in a specific way.

After studying Art Science(art theory) at Hongik University in Korea and Experimental Animation at California Institute of the Arts in the USA, he worked at Bent Image Lab in Portland, OR as a designer and director, and then Cheil Worldwide in Seoul, Korea, as a planner. His films have been screened at numerous film festivals including Ottawa International Animation Festival, and received several awards including Adobe Design Achievement Award. He also worked as a professor at Konkuk University in Chungju, Korea, and has been a PhD candidate studying Art and Technology at Sogang University, Seoul, Korea. Following completion of course work, he is developing research on Artificial Life for his doctoral dissertation.
