check out the full festival listing at www.hiff.org. There's no better
opportunity to see the best in Asian, U.S. and European films.
ACM ALL OVER THE NEWS
It was difficult to go through the weekend without running into a story on
ACM in the news. Our new Animation RenderFarm was unveiled Friday, with
stories on the 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm newscasts across the dial. Gary C.W. Chun
did a fantastic story for the Sunday Honolulu Star-Bulletin. Read it here. MidWeek was there,
too, for the event that included UH President David McClain, Board of
Regents Chair Kitty Lagareta, Chancellor Denise Konan, West Oahu
Chancellor Gene Awakuni, LCC Chancellor Peter Quigley, UH VP for Community
Colleges John Morton, UHM Director of Undergraduate Education Ron Cambra,
faculty and students from UHM, LCC, KCC, MCC, HCC, and Oahu public schools.
And on Sunday night, ACM Director Chris Lee was the featured guest on LIVING
LOCAL WITH THE BARAQUIOS on OC-16, discussing the phenomenal growth and
accomplishments of ACM, including our student internships on SUPERMAN
RETURNS, for which he was executive producer. ACM students Joelle-Lyn Satre
and Alana Hong serve as PA's on the popular local show.
