ACM Hardware and Software Requirements

Minimum Hardware Required:

  • 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • 1440 x 900 resolution
  • 2GB memory
  • 120GB hard drive
  • DVD drive with disc burning capabilities
  • Graphics card with 128MB SDRAM or equivalent
  • External Firewire 250 GB Hard Drive

We recommend a MacBook Pro 15” with

  • 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • 1440 x 900 resolution
  • 2GB memory
  • 120GB hard drive
  • 8x double-layer SuperDrive
  • NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics with 128MB SDRAM or equivalent because curriculum
    is based on Macintosh hardware and software.

Software Required:

            Computer Animation & Game Design:

  • Maya
  • Photoshop CS3
  • i-Life

            Cinematic Production:

  • Current Final Cut Pro Suite or an equivalent NLE (non linear editing) program.
  • Final Draft

Curriculum is based on Macintosh hardware and software. Technical support and instruction for other platforms will not be provided.
