Hawai’i Women in Filmmaking Seeking Paid Mentors

Hawai’i Women in Filmmaking are seeking self-motivated, organized, and experienced filmmakers of all ages to work with them as FILMMAKER MENTORS and INSTRUCTORS for their summer programs: Reel Camps for Girls (Filmmaking & Animation), Making Media That Matters, and Oceania Voices.

Ideal candidates are dedicated to promoting social justice and gender equity through the power of film.

As a FILMMAKER MENTOR, you will operate as a liaison between the instructors and the participants and facilitate their work and learning experience. If hired, there is a mandatory training workshop to attend in May.
Paid $15 an hour.

As a FILMMAKER INSTRUCTOR, you will be responsible for program planning, curriculum development, teaching and facilitating the creative production process and learning experience of the program’s participants. You will be responsible for following the work of the participants you will be assigned to, providing one to one support, tracking the progress of each participant, and help them complete their creative projects.
Paid $20 an hour.
