2017 ACM Awards – Deadline Extended
2017 ACM Awards Call for Entries
The deadline for submissions has been extended to Monday, April 24 at 5pm!
All currently enrolled UHM students who have created work in ACM classes are eligible and encouraged to enter their films in the 2017 ACM Awards. All accepted films will be screened at the ACM Screening Showcase on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29, 2017. The ACM Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Both the Screening Showcase and the Awards Ceremony are open to all UHM students, faculty, staff, cast, crew and family members.
Students may submit only one film each with this exception: If you are a Senior who is graduating in 2017 (May, Summer, or Fall), you may submit up to two films that you have made over your career in the ACM. For such graduating seniors, a separate application package is necessary for each film submission.
Awards will be given out in categories including Best Narrative, Best Experimental, Best Documentary, Best Directing, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Collaborator and Best Animation, among others. Awards will be decided by a panel of ACM faculty judges.
An audience award will be presented based on peer responses collected at the ACM Screening Showcase. So bring your cast, crews, friends and family members to the screenings!
In order to submit your film, please download the entry form below, and carefully follow the guidelines and include all requested materials with your submission.
** Please fill out the entry form on your computer and digitally sign it (you can do this in Preview on a Mac). Printed copies of this form will not be accepted.
